The dramatic moment an American woman gave birth on a flight to Hawaii on April 28 was recorded on social media, FoxNews.com reported Monday.
On April 28, a baby was born on a Delta flight from Salt Lake City to Honolulu, U.S. media reported. Julia Hansen posted the video on social media Wednesday, which has been viewed 9.2 million times.
At the beginning of the video, Hansen whispers, “A baby has just been born on this plane.” The video then turns to the passengers on board who are clapping and congratulating the baby’s mother. A crew member can then be heard using a walkie-talkie to ask the passenger to stay in his seat “so that a passenger can seek medical help”.
Hansen said the plane landed three hours later. The video shows emergency medical technicians boarding the plane to help the mother get off the plane before the other passengers. As the mother was pushed off the plane in a wheelchair, passengers continued to applaud her and congratulate her and her children.
Hansen did not photograph the woman’s face or baby. “The mother and her child were very healthy when they got off the plane,” Hansen commented after posting the video.
