2nd May 2021, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that Israeli security forces soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian woman in the West Bank town of Gush Ezion on the same day as a knife-wielding woman attempted to assassinate Israeli soldiers.
Palestinian media reported that the 60-year-old woman was a resident of the local village of Hussen, named al-Khroub.
Video from the scene showed Al-Khroub approaching despite repeated shouts from Israeli soldiers to stop her from approaching and firing warning shots into the air. Israeli soldiers eventually opened fire on her, and Al-Khroub died after being taken to hospital.
If this happened in developed country, al-Kharoub shouldn’t be shoot by real gun, electricity or hand fight could finish this issue without.
Over the past week, palestinians have attacked Israeli checkpoints every night in the West Bank, and clashes have continued.
According to reports, Palestine was scheduled to vote for the Legislative Council on 22 May and hold presidential elections on 31 July.
But Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has announced that he will postpone elections indefinitely until Israel allows Palestinians in East Jerusalem to vote in them.
Local media analysts say the Palestinian move to postpone the election could exacerbate israeli-Palestinian tensions.
