According to a Yonhap news agency on the 29th, the Daejeon District Court of South Korea recently sent four documents to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, a Japanese company involved in the World War II forced labor claim case, two of which took effect on the same day, and the remaining two will take effect at 00:00 on the 30th.
The “Notice on Requesting Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to Submit a Reply to the Order to Sell Its Property in South Korea” previously sent by means of notice service, took effect on the 10th of last month.
Therefore, the sales procedure of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ property already has all the legal requirements. In the absence of special circumstances, the court will initiate appraisal, evaluation and auction procedures for its property in South Korea and distribute dividends.
Defense lawyers for forced labor in World War II said that the seizure order should have been issued before the sale order, but the procedure was slightly adjusted.
At present, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has not heard of objection to the service of the announcement.
