According to the Russian satellite news agency, Mariângela Simão, assistant director-general of the World Health Organization, said at a press conference that the organization plans to evaluate the effectiveness of AstraZeneca vaccine by February 2021.
AstraZeneca partnered with Oxford University in May this year on the development, production and supply of vaccines.
Simão said at a press conference on December 28: “We know that the European Drug Administration has also received reports, and the World Health Organization is expected to carry out a study by early February.
WHO expects that the main report has been obtained and is expected to be evaluated in February.”
