7th December, Peruvian Minister of Culture, Alejandro Neira, announced that the country will allow the resumption of various cultural performances and concerts, but all parties to the event must strictly abide by various health and safety regulations, including limiting the number of participants and maintaining safe social distancing, and prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages.
In an interview with the local media, Neila said that if the venue of the event is an outdoor open space, the duration of the performance shall not exceed 90 minutes; if the venue of the event is indoors, the duration shall not exceed 60 minutes.
Recently, the Peruvian government issued a decree announcing that it would enter the fourth stage of economic recovery, and approved the reopening of cinemas, theaters and gyms.
According to the decree, in the fourth phase of the economic recovery, indoor cinemas, theaters, cultural and educational places, gyms and casinos are open at a 40% capacity limit, and open-air theaters can be opened at a 50% capacity limit.
According to Peruvian media reports, Jose Luis Chicoma, the country’s production minister, said that more than 146,000 direct jobs could be restored as places such as cinemas and gyms reopen.
