Wisconsin’s Largest County Completes Recount: Biden’s Advantage Increases
Reuters : November 28th, the Trump campaign had previously applied for a recount of the two most populous counties in Wisconsin. As of Friday local time, the recount of Milwaukee County, the largest county in the state, has been completed, and Dane County is expected to complete the recount on Sunday.
After the recount, of nearly 460,000 votes in Milwaukee County, Biden added 257 votes, Trund added 125 votes, and Biden added 132 votes net.
After the recount, Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson said, “The recount proves what we know: Milwaukee County elections are fair, transparent, accurate and safe.”
The two recounts reportedly cost the Trump campaign $3 million. The Trump campaign is expected to still launch a legal challenge to Wisconsin’s results, but time is running out, and the state will certify the presidential election results next Tuesday local time.
