Naryshkin, the head of Russia’s foreign intelligence agency, told the media on the 18th that there are signs that Western intelligence agencies are trying to provoke the nationalist forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan to undermine the Naka ceasefire agreement.
Naryshkin said that the United States and its allies are inciting internal conflicts between Asia and Afghanistan.
Russian intelligence agencies have noticed that Western intelligence personnel are trying to instill in the Armenian people the view that “the ceasefire of the Naka conflict is a failure of the Asian side and will lead to a painful ending .”
At the same time, the Azerbaijanis were told that Russia “stole their victory” because the ceasefire agreement was signed against the background that the Azerbaijani army was only one step away from the capital of Naka.
Narishkin believes that the actions of the West show that the United States and its European allies are, as always, solving their own problems at the expense of ordinary people’s interests. This time, the Azerbaijanis and Armenians are becoming their targets.
Naryshkin pointed out that Western countries are not worried that their provocative behavior will cause new bloodshed and plunge the region into serious military conflicts.
Azerbaijan and Armenia started fighting fiercely in the Nagorno-Karabakh area on September 27 this year, accusing each other of initiating a new round of conflict.
On the 9th of this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan signed a joint statement announcing a complete ceasefire in the Naka region from the 10th.
The statement stipulates that the Azerbaijani and Armenian forces will stay in their respective positions, and Russian peacekeepers will be stationed in Naka to supervise the ceasefire.
