Geneva, November 2 World Health Organization Director-General Tan Desai said on social media on the 2nd that he was working in isolation at home due to contact with people infected with the COVID-19.
He currently has no symptoms of illness.
Tan Desai wrote on Twitter: “I have been identified as a contact of a person who tested positive for the new crown. I am currently feeling well and have no symptoms (of any illness). I will follow the WHO recommendations in the next few days. Isolate myself and work from home.”
Tedros also said that it is important for everyone to follow health guidelines. “This is our way to break the chain of transmission of the new coronavirus, suppress the virus (spread) and protect the health system.”
The World Health Organization emphasized on Twitter on the 2nd that Tan Desai’s own new crown test result was not positive.
The recent severe situation of the new crown epidemic in Geneva, Switzerland, where WHO’s global headquarters is located, has announced on November 1 that it will enter a semi-blocked state.
During this period, bars, restaurants, and shops selling non-essential goods are closed, and gatherings of more than 5 people are prohibited in public places, but schools remain open.
