January 7th – According to the NBC website of the United States, the mayor of Washington, D.C. said that more than 30 people were arrested for violating local curfews.
Washington Mayor Bowser imposed a curfew at 6 p.m. on the 6th, and several law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Maryland National Guard, were asked to help restore order.
At least 30 people were arrested for violating the curfew as of 9:30 p.m. that night, a figure double the number of people arrested for breaking into the Capitol earlier on the 6th, the Bowser office said.
Washington Post noted that Washington police arrested more than a dozen pro-Trump protesters on New York Avenue, two blocks from the White House.
