U.S. fund bosses sigh: U.S. vaccine distribution to the elderly is comparable to “genocide”

January 7th – “Relationship households” jump queues, make appointments, and the elderly queue up all night. The chaos of COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the United States continues to trigger domestic public opinion.

Bill Ackman, a well-known fund investment tycoon in the United States and founder of Pershing Square Capital Management, tweeted several tweets, attacking the U.S. government’s approach to vaccine distribution, calling it a “genocide” for the elderly.

According to Business Insider on the 6th, Ackerman has continuously criticized the U.S. government’s distribution of vaccines through Twitter on the social platform since January 5, saying that “during the transition of power, this is a failure caused by poor logistics and management”.

Ackerman mentioned that as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase, the launch time of the vaccine has been extended.

Business Insider further pointed out a set of data that the number of coronavirus cases in the United States continues to record new, with more than 275,000 confirmed cases in a single day and more than 350,000 people have died of COVID-19.

The largest increase in the most recent coronavirus deaths in the United States occurred on December 30, 2020, with up to 3,900. However, vaccination efforts have remained confusing so far due to the lack of personnel or expertise in the U.S. health department to manage vaccines to distribute them in the right place.

Ackerman believes that there is no logistically managed excuse for vaccination, “If Elon Musk can deliver 500,000 Tesla cars and Jeff Bezos delivers goods within the same hour, we can also vaccinate every American.”

In a series of tweets, Ackerman also hinted at age discrimination in vaccination in the United States, “The mismanagement of vaccines is like genocide for the elderly population. If the virus kills more children than the elderly, will we still sit back?”
