United Nations Secretary-General Guterres was vaccinated with the first dose of coronavirus in New York City on the 28th.

Guterres was vaccinated on the same day in a school not far from the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

He then tweeted on social media, expressing gratitude for the vaccination and urging the international community to ensure that the coronavirus vaccine is fairly available to all.

Penny Abedner, Commissioner for International Affairs of the New York City government, said on the same day that Guterres vaccination has helped New Yorkers build trust in the coronavirus vaccine.
