Spain’s El Gou newspaper and other media reported on April 30, local time, according to the country’s Ministry of Defense Secret Service preliminary findings, two Spanish journalists killed on April 26 local time in the African country of Burkina Faso was attacked by local terrorist organizations killed, rather than by local poaching or smuggling gangs.
Two Spanish journalists, who had been engaged in anti-poaching operations in Burkina Faso, were killed in a terrorist attack along with another supporter of the Irish Conservation Movement.
The bodies of the three men arrived in Madrid, Spain, on the morning of April 30, local time, and were greeted by relatives and friends of the two journalists killed, as well as Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzalez, Defence Minister Margarita Robles and Irish Ambassador to Spain Cele Maguire.
