According to a report by The Hill on January 31, a senior adviser to U.S. President Biden said on Sunday that even though the Variant virus has spread in the United States, the government still hopes that American schools can reopen face-to-face courses by April.
Senior White House adviser Cedric Richmond was asked on CBS’ Face the Nation whether the government would decide to cancel the plan of “open-door lectures before spring” because of the rapid spread of Variant viruses found in the United Kingdom in the United States.
Richmond responded, “We will continue to push forward the restart of spring face-to-face teaching and deliver vaccines to the states.”
“We want to keep students, teachers, and their families in a safe environment,” he continued.
He also said that the corresponding subsidy funds are awaiting the approval of the $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill by Congress.
