December 9th – On theĀ 8th local time, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Defense Budget Bill for the fiscal year 2021 by 335 votes to 78 against,
which impose sanctions on Turkey’s purchase of Russia’s S-400 missile defense system and Russia’s gas pipeline projects. The bill has been sent to the Senate and is expected to be put to a vote on the 9th.
According to a report by the Russian satellite network on the 8th, the bill will also impose sanctions on further arms sales from Ukraine by Russia and prohibiting military cooperation between the United States and Russia.
The bill totals $741 billion, including $635.5 billion in basic needs expenditure, $26.6 billion in national security project expenditure and $69 billion in offshore operations budget.
