According to U.S. media reports, the U.S. federal investigation agency is investigating the impact on Congress on the 6th of this month. Evidence shows that it was a premeditated incident and may have been supported by some police and military soldiers.
CNN reported on the 16th that as of the 15th, the FBI had received 140,000 clues about the impact on the Capitol, including photos and videos. Investigators launched 275 criminal investigations, prosecuted 98 people and arrested about 100 people.
A federal law enforcement official said that all known evidence showed that the incident was premeditated.
According to the Washington Post, the investigation showed that some protesters had “stepped on the point” near the Capitol before the impact, and some protesters carried a large number of weapons and ammunition on the day of the incident.
Earlier, American media reported that several videos showed that some protesters used “military tactics” and policemen witnessed people at the scene of the impact to communicate with military gestures.
In addition, CNN also reported that investigators said there were signs that some U.S. law enforcement officials were involved in the impact on the Capitol.
At least two congressional police officers have been suspended from duty, and at least 10 other congressional police officers are under investigation.
Investigators also said that they would also investigate whether there was support from members of Congress behind the incident.
