The Secretary-General of the United Nations called on the Myanmar military to resolve their differences through peaceful dialogue.

February 1 According to a report by the Russian Sputnik News Agency, United Nations Secretary-General Guterres strongly condemned the detention of senior state senior officials such as Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and the President by the Myanmar military.

Guterres called on the Myanmar military to resolve any differences through peaceful dialogue and urged the military to respect the results of previous general elections.

The Myanmar military issued a statement on the 1st saying that a one-year state of emergency would be imposed in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution.

A spokesman for the National League for Democracy of Myanmar has previously said that Myanmar’s senior state government Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, President Wen Min and some senior NLD officials have been detained by the military.
