The President of Estonia officially appointed Karas as Prime Minister.

January 14, local time, Estonian National Radio and Television (ERR) reported that Estonian President Kelti Kaljulada officially appointed Kaja Kallas, chairman of the Reform Party, as Prime Minister.

Karras shall submit a cabinet report to Parliament within 14 days, and be authorized by Parliament to form a new government.
