February 27th local time, the multinational coalition headquarters led by Saudi Arabia issued a notice that the coalition forcesĀ shot down four drones carrying explosives thatĀ night.
A spokesman for the multinational coalition command revealed in the notice that the four drones were locked in the Saudi air defense system when they took off in Yemen, and were eventually shot down on the way to Djizan, Khamismushet and other southern Saudi Arabia, but did not indicate whether the incident caused casualties and other losses.
The multinational coalition accused the Houthis in Yemen of attempting to use drones to attack civilian targets in Saudi Arabia, saying that they would take all necessary countermeasures.
Earlier that night, the multinational coalition issued a statement saying that it had successfully intercepted a ballistic missile from Yemen over the Saudi capital Riyadh.
