December 1st – Last week, a shiny metal boulder appeared in the mountains of northern Romania, four meters high.
It is reported that near the boulder is the world-famous cultural heritage Dacia Fortress Group.
Coincidentally, a similar mysterious metal boulder appeared in the Utah desert last week, and then suddenly disappeared.
It is reported that the Dacian fortress, where the boulder is located, was built from about the 1st century BC to the 1st century A.D., to defend against the invasion of the Roman Empire.
The metal boulder discovered happened to be opposite the sacred mountain (Ceahlau) in the fortress group, which is the most famous mountain in Romania and is called the “Holy Land” by the locals.
At present, it is not clear who built the boulder on the mountain. Since the mountain is located within the protection area of archaeological sites, an investigation has been launched. Officials said that government permission is required to place any object on the mountain.
Previously, mysterious metal boulders appeared in the Utah desert of the United States. The boulder is similar to the design found in Romania, 3.6 meters high and is located in the desert red rock forest. However, the boulder suddenly disappeared on November 27.
Stills of the movie 2001: Space Odyssey
The sudden appearance of mysterious boulders in Romania has aroused heated discussion among netizens. Some people think of the novel Space Odyssey by Arthur Clarke, a British science fiction writer, who think it may be an alien work, and others think that it is manually moved and erected here to pay tribute to science fiction classics.
