According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on the 13th, the Iranian navy held military exercises in the southern part of the country on the same day, involving the Sea of Oman and parts of the northern Indian Ocean.
The Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Bagheri and the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces Abdulrahim Musavi participated in the launching ceremony of the military exercise on that day.
According to the Ministry of Public Relations of the Iranian Army, in the first stage of the exercise, the naval surface, underwater and flying forces will be sent to the exercise area to implement the scheduled program.
According to the military, the exercise will include launching various surface-to-surface cruise missiles, submarine torpedoes, coastal and maritime special operations operations operations exercises, and drones and electronic warfare.
Iran’s logistics ship “Mokran” participated in the exercise on that day. It is understood that as one of the largest “helicopter aircraft carriers” of the Iranian navy, the Mokland Maritime Base will provide logistical support for the country’s navy’s combat fleet in international waters.
Iran’s Tasnim News Agency said that the ship can carry seven helicopters and carry 100,000 tons of fuel and supplies, and can sail for 1,000 days without landing.
In addition, it is equipped with an up-to-date data collection system for processing and analysis of information and provision to the Coast Command and Control Center.
Kavani, spokesman of the military exercise, said that this exercise can enable the military to assess the effective response of troops to possible threats from the enemy, make up for the weaknesses exposed in the exercise in time and improve the combat capabilities of the troops.
It is understood that the confrontation between the United States and Iran will intensify in 2021.
This military exercise is the third exercise of the Iranian armed forces this month after a large-scale drone exercise of the Iranian army and the maritime exercise of the paramilitary force of the Revolutionary Guards, Baski.
The exercise was intended to warn the United States that Iran was capable of responding to any provocation from the enemy.
