According to reports, since 2020, Xiao Chai’s body has been deteriorating. Due to symptoms such as breathing difficulties, he has been receiving oxygen therapy before. On the evening of November 12, Xiao Chai passed away in a hospital in Tokyo due to exhaustion.
Masatoshi Oshiba was born in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan in 1926. In 1955, he received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Rochester, New York, USA.
On October 8, 2002, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced that the 2002 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to American scientist Raymond Davis, Japanese scientist Masatoshi Koshiba, and American scientist Riccardo Giaconi in recognition of them ” Pioneer contributions made in the field of astrophysics”.
