Texas introduced a temporary ban on natural gas exports this week, which caused Mexico, which is highly dependent on natural gas imports from the United States, to have an energy crisis.
In response, Venezuelan President Maduro said on February 19 local time that he intended to talk to Mexican President López and propose that Venezuela ensure the supply of natural gas to Mexico.
However, Maduro did not give more details about this plan.
According to Reuters, which quoted energy experts as saying, due to long-term sanctions by the United States, Venezuela has no facilities to convert natural gas into liquefied natural gas.
