According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea’s Qingwadai said on the 25th that President Moon Jae-in will meet with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Qingwadai on the afternoon of the 26th.
Wang Yi will pay a three-day visit to South Korea from the 25th. At that time, Moon Jae-in and Wang Yi will exchange views on topics of common concern such as Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to South Korea, the South Korean-China-Japan Leaders’ Meeting, Sino-US relations and other topics of common concern.
Moon Jae-in and Wang Yi may jointly examine the situation on the Korean Peninsula and exchange views on the plan to denuclearize the peninsula and build a permanent peace mechanism.
South Korea and China have previously agreed to promote Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to South Korea as soon as possible after the epidemic stabilizes. However, due to the continuous spread of the epidemic, it is still unknown whether Xi Jinping’s visit to South Korea and the South Korean, China and Japan leaders’ meeting will be successful.
