January 11th – On theĀ evening of the 9th local time, six prisoners in a prison in central California, United States, successfully escaped from prison using homemade ropes.
As of the 10th local time, the police are still searching for these fugitive prisoners.
According to the Associated Press and other media, later on the 9th, staff of a prison in Merced County, California, found six prisoners mysteriously missing.
The Merced County Sheriff’s Office in California said preliminary investigation showed that the inmates managed to reach the roof of the prison and then climbed down the prison side with homemade ropes.
It is reported that several prisoners have been charged with violent felonies, including murder, and are considered to be armed and dangerous. At present, the police are looking for them and appeal to the public to provide relevant clues.
According to the information provided by the police, the six escapees are Jorge Barron, 20, Gabriel Francis Coronado, 19, and Manuel, 21.
