According to local media in Zambia on the 8th, Rwandan National Airlines announced in a statement that it would suspend round-trip flights between Rwanda and Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
That is, from February 8, 2021, the company suspended all Rwandan flights to and from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lusaka and Harare.
The grounding was due to the emergence of mutant strains of COVID-19 in southern African countries.
In addition, Rwanda Airlines said that it was currently processing passengers’ request for refunds or rescheduling to destinations.
When these suspended routes resume operations, passengers will be arranged to rebook flights or be refunded.
