The statement said the measures to be taken are a continuation of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s April 16 statement.
On April 16, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement recommending that the U.S. ambassador return home to consult with the U.S. government on Russian-U.S. relations, expel 10 U.S. diplomats from Russia and ask the U.S. Embassy to stop recruiting Russian or third-country staff in Russia. Several anti-Russian U.S. and former officials have been banned from entering the country.
