May 1st 2021, a meeting of the Political Director-General of the Joint Committee on a Comprehensive Agreement on the Iranian Nuclear Issue continued in Vienna, Austria.
Russia’s Permanent Representative to the International Organization in Vienna, Yuriyanov, said talks to revive the Iran nuclear agreement had made indisputable progress and that the Board would reconvene by the end of next week. At the same time, experts will continue to draft elements of future agreements.
Ulyanov also noted that it was too early to get excited, but should be cautious and gradually optimistic.
There is no deadline for the meeting, but the parties hope to complete the talks successfully in about three weeks.
