Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and French Foreign Minister Le Drian had a phone conversation on the 19th to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Naka region.
According to the communiqué published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign ministers of the two countries believe that helping refugees return home safely, restoring economic and transportation links in the Naka region, restoring civilian infrastructure, and providing humanitarian assistance are priority issues that should be resolved.
The two foreign ministers exchanged views on the measures that should be taken to solve the Naka issue in a long-term and comprehensive manner based on the principles reached within the framework of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
They also agreed to maintain close ties in strengthening diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.
