December 23rd local time, according to the Russian media “RBK”, Russia will independently complete the laying of the “Bexi-2” natural gas pipeline.
The laying of the sea area of Denmark’s exclusive economic zone is undertaken by Fortuna, which will officially start on January 15, 2021.
The company’s construction operations will be escorted by rescue and support vessels specially sent by the Russian Maritime Rescue Department.
In addition, when laying pipelines, the company will set up temporary restricted areas near operating vessels, in which unauthorized navigation, diving, anchoring, fishing and deep-water operations will be prohibited.
The forbidden area is 200 meters away from the port and right of the ship.
The “North Stream-2” natural gas pipeline project has two branches, starting from Russia and ending at Germany, with an annual transmission capacity of 55 billion cubic meters.
At present, 93% of the laying of the project has been completed, but the project was interrupted in December 2019 due to sanctions measures on the United States.
