Russia successfully tested the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile
November 26th the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement saying that the Russian army tested the “Zircon” hypersonic missile in the White Sea and successfully hit a maritime target at 450 kilometers away.
The statement pointed out that the Russian frigate Type 22350, Admiral Gorshkov, launched a number of “zircon” hypersonic missiles from the White Sea, successfully hitting several maritime targets in the Barents Sea.
The missile flew faster than Mach 8. During the test launch, the Russian Northern Fleet blocked the test sea in the Barents Sea, and the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov and the frigate Admiral Kasatonov participated in the mission.
