Russia has proposed to Germany and France to hold multi-party talks, including representatives from Ukraine and eastern Ukraine, by April 27 to discuss the eastern Ukraine issue, deputy chief of the Russian president’s office said Wednesday.
The Russian side proposes to hold talks directly in the current conflict zone in eastern Ukraine. Kozak did not disclose the level of the talks. In addition, Kozak accused the Ukrainian side of taking a negative attitude towards the peace talks. He said that the settlement of the problem in eastern Ukraine depends on dialogue between the Ukrainian government and representatives of the eastern region.
