It is reported that Fahmi, the Minister of the Interior of the caretaker government, visited the scene of the Tripoli riots on the same day, stressing that the security forces will make every effort to protect the interests of the state and citizens from infringement.
On the other hand, on the 31st, Maronite Archbishop Rai pointed out that the main reason for the violent protests in Tripoli was the poor life of the people, condemning the inaction of those in power such as the president and the prime minister.
