January 30th – Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez announced that the first batch of coronavirus vaccines purchased by Peru from China National Pharmaceutical Group will arrive in Peru on February 9.
According to Peru’s Andina news agency, Bemudes said at a press conference that the Peruvian government reached an agreement with
China National Pharmaceutical Group to purchase coronavirus vaccines in early January and had handled the necessary procedures for receiving the vaccines in time.
Once the vaccine is received, the government will carry out vaccination in Lima, and the vaccine will be sent to the health institutions in the region at the same time for vaccination by front-line workers.”
The vaccines will be shipped by KLM and will stop in Amsterdam after taking off from Beijing, and then arriving in Lima, Peru, according to the report.
