According to Portuguese media sources, on October 23 local time, the Portuguese parliament discussed and passed a decree on the mandatory wearing of masks in the open air for a period of at least 70 days and can be extended.
The decree mandates that residents over ten years of age must wear masks in public places and roads when the safe distance specified by the health authorities cannot be guaranteed, and they cannot be replaced with shields. Violators will be fined 100 to 500 euros.
