According to local media, on the 23rd, Lebanese Prime Minister-elect Hariri and various parliamentary parties held a cabinet consultation. The Amal Movement, the Social Progressive Party, and the Lebanese Force support the formation of an expert government, while the Freedom National Front hopes that the new cabinet will be composed of politicians and technocrats.

Hezbollah expressed support for the formation of a 24-member cabinet and hoped that Hariri would reach an understanding with all parties. After the meeting, Hariri said that the consultations were fruitful and that the new government will be composed of experts and will implement necessary reforms as soon as possible to implement the requirements of the French initiative.

The day before, Saad Hariri won the parliamentary vote and was authorized by President Aoun to form a new government. Then Hariri promised in his speech that the new government will work to save the national economy and the reconstruction work after the Beirut port explosion.
