The U.S. Department of Defense announced on December 4 that Acting U.S. Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller will leave on December 5 to visit Indonesia, the Philippines and the headquarters of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
According to the official website of the U.S. Department of Defense updated on the 4th, Miller is expected to discuss bilateral defense relations with his colleagues in Indonesia and the Philippines. Miller will then visit the headquarters of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii and participate in the online ASEAN Expanded Conference of Defense Ministers (ADMM Plus).
After the U.S. election, President Trump announced on November 9th that he would remove Defense Secretary Mark Esper, and Miller, then director of the National Anti-Terrorism Center, was appointed Acting Secretary of Defense.
