According to the Hill on December 5, California officially confirmed Biden’s victory in the state on the 4th, and the latter locked in the number of electoral votes needed to enter the White House in January.
California Secretary of State Alex Padilla proved that after reviewing the election results, California would allocate 55 electoral votes to Biden, bringing his total to 279 votes, nine more than the 270 he needed to be elected president.
