A shooting occurred in Oxford, Mississippi, on August 21, local police said they received a call at 2:05 a.m. on the 21st and rushed to the scene to investigate.
The victim was initially taken to hospital where he was treated for stable injuries, but deteriorated while being transferred to hospital for additional care and died at 6 a.m.
It is reported that the local police first detained two people involved in the case, and then formally arrested a suspect. Police said the case is under further investigation, no further details have been disclosed.
