Floods in Turkey’s Black Sea region have killed 82 people

The death toll from flooding in Turkey’s Black Sea region has risen to 82, the Country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Committee said In a news release Tuesday.

So far, the number of victims found in the hard-hit provinces of Castamonu, Sinop and Balding is 71, 10 and one, respectively, according to Turkey’s Anadolu news agency.

Since 11 August, heavy rainfall in Turkey’s Black Sea region has triggered severe natural disasters such as floods and mudslides, resulting in a large number of casualties and property damage.
