August 22nd, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the situation in Afghanistan would be discussed at the upcoming summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to safeguard the security of the member states of the organizations.
Lavrov has previously said that the changes in the situation in Afghanistan have a complex impact on the world situation, and Russia is willing to exchange timely views with China on the development and evolution of the situation in Afghanistan and jointly respond to it.
