Boao Forum for Asia 2021 will be held in Boao, Hainan Province from the 18th, this year’s Boao Forum for Asia annual meeting theme is “World’s Great Changes: A Concerted Global Governance Event Ensemble With Strong Voices along the way.” Thailand, as an important country along the Belt and Road, Thailand’s National Assembly President Chuan Lipai said in an exclusive interview with taiwan reporters on the eve of the opening of the Boao Forum for Asia that he was particularly concerned about and looking forward to the Boao Forum for Asia’s Coronavirus outbreak in the context of Coronavirus pandemic, and praised China’s provision of vaccines to the international community for demonstrating its responsibility as a major country and the practice of the community concept of human health destiny.

Chuan Lipai said that the Coronavirus outbreak has brought serious challenges to the international community, including Asian countries, and China’s experience in fighting the pandemic has brought important inspiration to Thailand and other countries. On February 24th this year, Thailand received its first Coronavirus vaccine from China. China’s active role in helping Thailand fight the outbreak reflects the responsibility of China’s major powers.

Chuan Lipai also believes that the Boao Forum for Asia is a very good platform for Asian member countries to discuss and respond to Coronavirus outbreak, and jointly take measures and actions to combat Coronavirus outbreak. He looked forward to discussions at the Boao Forum for Asia on the current tourism and economic difficulties facing Thailand and Asian countries.

“Tourism is a pillar industry in Thailand and one of the industries most affected by Coronavirus outbreak,” Chuan Lipai said. Since the outbreak, Thailand’s tourism-related aviation, hotels and restaurants industries have been hit hard, with some 6 million people out of work and government revenues plummeting, a problem not only for Thailand, but also for many countries. ”

Chuan Lipai looks forward to a joint fight against the pandemic as an issue of the Boao Forum for Asia, providing some advice and solutions for how countries will respond to the impact of the pandemic in the future.
