The Moroccan government issued a proclamation on the 1st local time, pointing out that on the recommendation of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Health, the government decided to extend the national curfew for another two weeks from the 2nd.
It is reported that the curfew is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 the next day, during which no unauthorized person is allowed to go out.
In addition, all kinds of commercial places also need to close at 8 p.m. every day.
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Morocco decided to impose a three-week curfew on December 21 last year and extended the curfew for two weeks on January 14.
Morocco’s recent epidemic has been effectively controlled, and the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 every day has decreased from thousands at the peak to about 200 at present.
