On the morning of 10 May local time, more than 200 people were injured in violent clashes at the Temple Mount and al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City.
According to the local Red Crescent Society, a total of 215 people were injured that morning, 154 people needed hospital treatment, four of them seriously.
Israeli police say the Temple Mount has returned to relative calm after hours of clashes with thousands of Palestinians and will continue to take action to protect law and order. Police said nine officers were injured, one of whom needed hospital treatment.
