January 12th According to Bloomberg on the 12th, the King of Malaysia officially declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Singapore’s Straits Times, the Malaysian government has been considering declaring a state of emergency for a second time in less than three months due to the continuous increase in confirmed cases in China.

The country’s health department has also been calling for stricter epidemic restrictions.
