Iran has suspended flights to and from India and Pakistan

April 24 ran’s civil aviation authorities announced on the 24th that the country has suspended all flights with India and Pakistan since the 25th to prevent the introduction of Variant Coronavirus.

Earlier in the day, Iranian Health Minister Namaki wrote to Iran’s Interior Ministry saying the mutated new coronavirus found in India was “very dangerous” and recommended the suspension of flights to and from India.

Iranian President Rouhani attended the meeting of the National Pandemic Prevention Command on the same day, said that Variant Coronavirus virus found in India than previously found in the United Kingdom and Brazil mutated virus “more dangerous”, Iran’s eastern provinces should strengthen border controls to prevent the introduction of Variant Coronavirus.

Iran is currently being hit by a fourth wave of Coronavirus outbreaks. Iran’s Ministry of Health released data on the 24th, the country’s new confirmed cases on the same day 18,230 cases, a total of 237,7039 confirmed cases;
