According to the Times of India on January 5th, an army soldier from Chhattisgarh and his two friends were registered for gang rape of a minor girl in Jashpur district. The soldier was also accused of forcing the girl to have an illegal abortion.

The soldier’s name is Anshuman Toppo. At present, two of his friends have been detained by the police, who have sent troops to Jammu and Kashmir, the area where Anshuman serves, to arrest him.

It is understood that the victim of 17 years old, she pointed out in her complaint that the three took her uncle hostage last year, forcing her to go to them on the evening of September 10. When she arrives at the appointed location, they release her uncle, but kidnap her.

The girl said that the three kidnappers forcibly took her to a deserted place, where they raped her and threatened her and uncle not to call the police.

Jashpur police said the three men were worried that the girl would call the police, so they often followed her. The three defendants also conspired to induce the girl to maintain a relationship with them to prevent her from disclosing any information about the incident.

The three decided that since the soldier of the three had a “safe government job”, he should be the one who persuaded her to establish a relationship.

Police said that a few days later, the soldier contacted the girl, promised to marry her when she turned 18, and even persuaded her to come and live with his mother.

Police pointed out that the girl’s parents did not object when she decided to move into the soldier’s house. After living together for a month, the soldier returned to the Indian army in Kashmir.

At that time, the girl was pregnant.

In the complaint, the girl said that the soldier’s family forced her to kill a two-month-old fetus for fear of a police filing. She was shocked by the death of the fetus, and she began to protest.

The soldier’s family asked her to leave, and the soldier allegedly broke all contact with her.

The girl finally sought justice from the police. She filed a lawsuit on January 2, and the police immediately filed a case under the relevant laws. Two of Anshuman’s accomplices have been arrested.

The police have informed senior officers of the Indian Army that the soldiers involved have been wanted.
