In an effort to mobilize more medical resources to fight the worsening outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, the Indian government announced Wednesday that it will postpone the qualified examination for doctors and nurses scheduled for this month by at least four months so that interns and nurses can safely join the front line of the fight against the epidemic, Reuters reported. Indian Defense Minister Manmohan Singh is considering deploying troops in Delhi to deal with the outbreak crisis, India Today reported Wednesday.

In the face of the spreading outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, nearly 10 indian states and the Central Territory have introduced varying degrees of epidemic control measures.
