According to Hungarian media reports, on November 3 local time, Hungarian Prime Minister Orban Viktor announced that Hungary had once again entered a state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the same time, Orban also announced that a curfew would be imposed from midnight to 5 a.m. to prohibit people from going out.

Orban stated in a video posted on his social media that in view of the rapid spread of the virus,

the government decided that Hungary would implement a state of emergency again at

midnight on the 3rd and requested the parliament to extend the state of emergency for 90 days.

Orban also stated that at the request of the Hungarian Anti-epidemic Headquarters

entertainment venues will be closed; the number of spectators in sports activities, cinemas and

theaters is limited to one-third of the seats, and masks are required.

Prior to this, Hungary had confirmed its first case of coronavirus pandemic on March 4, declared

a national emergency on March 11, and lifted it on June 18.
