On the morning of the 16th local time, the Stromboli volcano erupted in Italy.

The Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanoes stated that this was a high-intensity eruption. 

The thermal camera installed in the institute captured the image of the eruption

And the lava flowed down from the south side of the volcano. 

The eruption lasted 4 minutes, but did not change the overall condition of the volcano.

Stromboli is close to Sicily, Italy, and is one of the most active volcanoes on earth.

In July last year, Stromboli volcano erupted violently, killed one person.
