French screenwriter and novelist Jean-Claude Carrier died at his home in Paris on Monday at the age of 89, AFP reported.

His family revealed that he died naturally.

Jean-Claude Carrier has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Love in Prague, Hazy Desire and Bourgeoisie’s Discreet Charm.
